On Makar Sankranti, there is tradition to donate sesame, jaggery etc. by bathing in other rivers of the district including Son, Gopad, Mahan. A grand fair is held near the Jogdaha Ghat of Son river and Bhanparasan Ghat of Rampur Nakin situated near Amilia. Apart from this Khaira, Bhitri, Kolodaha, Bhelki, Rampur and Rajgarh Ghat Mela of Son river are considered.
